So since I have been spending so much quality time with my breast pump, I have been doing a lot of reading. I typically do not enjoy reading, but it has helped pass the time quickly and I have actually really enjoyed learning through the books that I have read. So far I have read Babies with Down Syndrome, Gifts, and am finishing up Light from Lucas. So I am looking for some suggestions from people. I have several books sitting on my shelf that I have purchased over the years and never read, and I could start there, but I am really enjoying learning about and reading stories of families of children with Down Syndrome....So any suggestions?

I meant to talk to you about some books yesterday, didn't get to it, sorry!
Roadmap to Holland is a really good book ( I have it if you want to borrow it) by Jennifer Graf Groneberg who had twins, one with Ds, the other without, both premies. This was published this year. She also has a blog" Pinwheels" at http://jennifergrafgroneberg.wordpress.com/
and does postings on several others listed on her blog, including 5 minutes for special needs (lots of moms writing there)
Other books I have enjoyed were:
Count Us In: Growing Up with Down Syndrome by Jason Kingsley (son of Emily Perle Kingsley )and Mitchell Levitz
You Will Dream New Dreams: Inspiring Personal Stories by Parents of Children With Disabilities by Stanley Klein
Another Season: A Coach's Story of Raising an Exceptional Son by Gene Stallings (very football oriented)
Expecting Adam: A True Story of Birth, Rebirth, and Everyday Magic by Martha Beck (has a spiritual lean, but not necessarily Christian)
Choosing Naia: A Family's Journey by Mitchell Zuckoff (written by a reporter more about "the choice", this was on tv several years ago)
Also, HADSA does have a lending library. The books are available to check out when we have our meetings. There is a list of what we do have on the HADSA web site (under useful info, HADSA library) so if there is something you want ( it will be a while before we have a meeting) let the McCarthy's know.
The CR library did have several of these, not sure if the other ones do, but worth looking into.
