Wow! Guess it's been a while since I posted...I don't like to make New Year's resolutions, but I do want to try to commit to posting more. I just think I will really like having these posts when I want to look back on things and when I finally get around to scrapbooking Addie's first year...
Well, since the 22nd...we traveled to Illinois for Christmas and had a great time relaxing with both Zac's family and mine. Our big gift we received from my parents is a new video camera...I of course have several videos to post...but as of yet can't figure out how to get the off the camera...so those are to come, as well as some pics!
Addie got spoiled rotten at Christmas by everyone and we are going to have to add on to the house for all of her toys and she's not even a year old!!
Nothing much aside from lots of traveling and visiting with friends and family.
I did end up finding my wedding ring, which must have been in the chest pocket of a button up fleece I always wear around the house, because when I washed clothes at my parents the ring was in the bottom of the washer and that's the only place I figure it could have been. Our car is still in the shop, hopefully will be getting it back this week..
As of Dec. 30th I comleted all my CEU's so that is good. I am going to call the BOC Monday to confirm they received everything and that I am good to go.
Wednesday Zac and I met my mom in the Quad Cities and she took Addie back to IL for a couple of days so Zac and I could get some projects done on the house. This was the first time I haven't been with Addie overnight, so it was a little hard, but very worth it! Zac and I slept passed 9 both Thurs. and Fri. and got a lot of much needed things done around the house. Friday night we met my parents and my gma and gpa Larson in the QC and got Addie and I didn't realize how much I missed her till I held her! I just cannot get enough of her lately!
Monday is going to be a big day for us as Addie has her 6 month appointment and Daisy, our dog is going in for ACL surgery (a ligament in her knee) as she tore it and since she is only 3 and a really good dog, we decided to go ahead with the surgery...so hopefully both of those appts will go well. We'll get to pick Daisy up on Tuesday and then we have to keep her pretty sedentary for 4 weeks!! So we'll see how easy that is!
In the mean time, I'll get some pics posted as well as a 6 month post and let you know all that Addie has been up to!
Glad you found your ring! And I'm glad you had a couple days to yourselves...but I know what you mean about missing her when you get that first hug again. :o)
ReplyDeleteAs a parent you will never outgrow the fact that you miss your children when you are not with them. We will always remember how hard it was for us to bring Kristy to Davenport and leave her there to begin her "new" life. Then she met some wonderful friends :) and it made us feel better but we still missed her. You will never outgrow that no matter how old your children are. You just handle it in a different way. I hope Daisy does well with here surgery. Will you be doing any rehab with her????? Take care and have a great winter! The Sioux City Sandmans
