First day of....WORK?!

Yep, that's right, this momma is back to work. I haven't worked....well, atleast worked outside the home since Jan. 08....but today went really well. I took a job with the City Parks and Rec dept. as an admin for the summer pools...so pretty much I'll be a supervisor of the swim instructors and lifeguards for the summer pools and in the mean time I'll be helping to get everything ready for the summer programs. Right now I am working part time, then will move to full time by April...The nice thing is it is just full time through early September and then will move back to part time and then I can either chose to stop until next spring or stay on part time...so we'll just see how it goes..

We have been so blessed that one of our friends, Emily, is watching Addie for us while I'm working, and today went really well! Once April comes and I am full time then my friend Bethany is going to watch her.

Zac helped me get out of the house on time...well, pretty close to on time...I only forgot to restock the diapers in the diaper bag, and forgot the note and schedule I had written up for Emily....but overall, we did pretty good for the first day.

Emily said Addie did well for her and Emily's two kids, Reece and Rilynn just loved Addie to pieces. I just feel so blessed at how this all worked out. I honestly never once was worried about Addie or how she was doing. I actually was more worried about Emily and the fact that Addie can be a hand-ful at times, but Emily seemed to handle her just fine(or atleast she appeared that way!)

I worked 8-1 and the time just flew by....couldn't believe it was already 1:00 when the time came. So back to work wed. I go..I'm thinking I'll be making up a bag that we'll just keep at Emily's with diapers, wipes, etc...just for those days that the bag doesn't get restocked!

  4. You will likely have my daughter to supervise :) She will be a 3rd year lifeguard this summer. She currently guards and teaches at Bender.
